Why Choose Us
Patients Trust Us For Neurolens
Rare Technology, Right Here in Wendell
Wendell Eye Care is a certified Neurolens provider, making it a destination for patients who have been told their eyes are fine while the pain continues.
Built Around How Your Eyes Actually Work
A standard eye exam checks how clearly you see. The Neurolens measurement checks how hard your eyes have to work to get there.
Experienced, Trustworthy Care
Our doctors bring clinical depth to every evaluation. Patients receive an honest assessment of whether eye misalignment is contributing to their symptoms.
What Neurolens Care at Wendell Eye Care Includes
When Your Eyes Pass the Exam but the Headaches Don’t Stop
If daily headaches, neck tension, eye strain, or motion sickness have gone unexplained for years, the problem may not be how clearly you see. It may be how hard your eyes work to stay aligned. We measure that effort and correct it.
Understanding Eye Misalignment
When your eyes do not align naturally, the muscles that aim them compensate and the brain works harder to hold one clear image. There is often no double vision, so a routine exam misses it. The constant strain overstimulates the trigeminal nerve, which surfaces as headaches, neck pain, and dizziness.
The Neurolens Measurement
A comfortable headset records how your eyes behave at distance and at near. You see your own results on screen, showing where the misalignment sits and how it shifts at reading distance.
Contoured Prism Technology
Traditional prism applies one fixed correction across the lens, which tends to leave near vision short. Contoured Prism increases gradually from top to bottom, so your eyes stay aligned down the road, across a desk, and at a phone in your hand.
Lenses That Fit Your Life
Neurolens comes in Single Vision, Office, and Progressive designs, built with your current prescription and available at any age. For patients on screens six or more hours a day, the Office design is often the better starting point.
A Drug Free Approach
Neurolens is not a medication and has no side effects. If you have cycled through pain relievers, neurology visits, physical therapy, or blue light lenses without lasting results, it reaches a cause those options were never built to address.
What to Expect From Your First Pair
A Short Measurement, Then a Gradual Shift
The measurement itself takes under three minutes and requires nothing more than sitting comfortably and looking where you are asked to look. Once your doctor confirms Neurolens is appropriate, your lenses are made to your custom value and typically arrive in two to three weeks.
Most patients adapt within three days to two weeks. Many notice a difference in the first week, with the fuller benefit building over roughly two to twelve weeks as the strain on the system eases. We schedule a follow up to check how you are doing and answer anything that comes up along the way.

Common Questions About Neurolens
Patients who deal with frequent headaches, neck and shoulder pain, eye strain, light sensitivity, or motion sickness are often good candidates, especially those who spend long hours on screens or who have tried other treatments without lasting relief. Because every case is different, we recommend a measurement and evaluation with one of our doctors before deciding on a plan.
Traditional prism holds one fixed correction across the entire lens, which commonly leaves near vision undercorrected and can contribute to prism creep over time. Contoured Prism increases down the lens so alignment holds at distance, intermediate, and near, and the amount is calculated specifically for your eyes.
Adaptation usually takes three days to two weeks. Many patients notice improvement within the first week, and most see substantial improvement across roughly two to twelve weeks. Your doctor will set expectations based on your symptoms and your measurement.
Neurolens is a drug free option that addresses a physical cause rather than masking symptoms, and many patients find they rely on medication less often. Any change to a prescription medication should always be discussed with the provider who prescribed it.
Vision care plans do not cover Neurolens at this time. Our team will provide clear pricing before anything is ordered. We accept FSA funds and CareCredit financing for patients who would like a payment plan option.
