Not everyone is a candidate for every type of eye surgery, and knowing that before moving forward saves time, expense, and disappointment. Our pre-surgical evaluations provide a thorough baseline picture of your eye health and prescription, which both helps assess candidacy and gives your surgical team the detailed information they need going in.
If surgery is not the right option, we will let you know honestly and discuss what other care options may be available. If it is, we will make sure you are referred to the right surgeon and that the process is as smooth as possible from first visit to final follow-up.

Common Questions About Post-Op Eye Care
Co-management means your primary eye care provider works alongside a surgical specialist to handle different parts of your care. At Wendell Eye Care, we manage your pre-surgical evaluation and all post-operative follow-up visits, while a surgical specialist performs the procedure itself.
We currently provide co-management for cataract and LASIK surgeries. Our office coordinates directly with area surgeons throughout the process, from candidacy evaluation through recovery.
Post-operative schedules vary based on the procedure and your surgeon’s protocol, but most patients are seen at Wendell Eye Care within the first day or two after surgery, with additional visits over the following weeks. We will review your schedule with you before surgery.
That is absolutely fine. We are happy to coordinate with a surgeon you have already selected or been referred to. Our role is to support your care on this end, wherever the procedure takes place.
